2This is an example of 'Trade Value' being pretty even, but playing value (IMO) being heavily in favor of Castillo. Not a complaint, just an observation. Bottom line, Seattle would likely not do this deal, though it does save them money. I think it weakens them. SF is a yes.
WestCasey, you're absolutely correct. The M's would want at least one SP back in return, even if it meant paying some of Castillo's contract down. Plus, while the M's need help at 1B, they already have Luke Raley, a lefty hitter. I just don't see Wade being that appealing to the M's.
