2Cubs get Tucker and Cortes while shedding salary and opening lanes for Matt Shaw and their favorite OF prospect. Astros get major league starters with years of cheap control to replace Bregman and Tucker. Yankees begrudgingly accept that they can't meet the Astros needs as well as the Cubs for Tucker (whom they can still pursue in free agency), but still add ~5-6 war to the big league team while holding on to Schmidt and Gil, maintaining the best rotation (at present) in the AL and giving them flexibility to dangle one should another bat become available.
You just removed four everyday players from the Cubs lineup, including their three best bats. Sure you add Tucker, and you can bring in Shaw, but how do you fill the other two? More rookies? The Cubs should run three rookies out with two more players that are sophomores (PCA&Busch)? The funniest thing is seeing all the trades where the Cubs take on other people's bloat. Cortez is bloat, and certain not needed by the Cubs. The Cubs will hang onto Bellinger before they do that. Moving Bellinger is about freeing up money, not swapping it.
