7Horwitz was added to the Guardians' roster, then traded again. Busy night for him.
honestly I think the value for Horowitz is too high. He’s a 27 year old rookie. Great trade for the guards IMO
This made a ton of sense for Cleveland... They were hoping to get another SP and they used a position of depth to essentially get it...
@Johnbitzer next time that you go through and fix things, I noticed the Guardians have some errors... Luis Durango and Steve Hajjar got taken in the minor league Rule 5.... Ben Lively is a free agent in 2029, which you have him being at the last year of his contract. C Kody Huff and SP Cameron Sullivan are ranked in a couple places for the Guardians. SP Aaron Davenport is no longer on the list? He's higher ranked than Artiles, Denholm, Mace etc...
Agree. We noticed that too. There's an adjustment coming down the road for his profile, but not for now.
If you think so. As a Pirate fan, I thought there'd be very little chance of acquiring Horwitz. Ortiz made great strides last season, but there are also some red flags that could put him back in the bullpen in 2025. Regardless of Horwitz being 27, he's hit at every single level he's played and had third-best wRC+ and third-best wOBA and the fifth-best OPS. He led all rookies in on-base percentage and was eighth in isolated slugging percentage. I'll take that for borderline rotation arm who doesn't strike many players out and 2 soft tossing lefties who haven't reached A ball
Cleveland actually is one of the best in baseball developing guys like Ortiz and guys like Kennedy and Hartle are known as strike throwers, which are the type Cleveland drafts and develops... Ortiz' biggest problem is his pitch mixup... He doesn't have a slow pitch to mix in at all so don't be surprised to see him add some type of slow chaneup or curveball.
