This trade of course would depend upon Ramirez agreeing to waive his NTC, but a NTC simply means the player must agree. For the Cubs it addresses the need to upgrade at 3B while moving pieces of value but expendable for the future. For the Mariners it gets them the upgrade at 2B they need while sending out a high prospect but has two others at the same position in front of him. Cleveland gets 4 players, the least of which is controlled for 3 years while the others have 5 or more years of control, 2 of which being pitchers.

JRam took the contract to stay in Cleveland... He also publicly stated he doesn't want to play for a big market... He left millions on the table to STAY in Cleveland... He's not going anywhere... IF he was available... How does this help Cleveland? It gives them a 3B with less team control and SP depth... Wesneski had forearm issues in 24... Is he going to be available in 25 the whole season? Brown is fine and Celesten is a solid prospect, but I feel like the package overall doesn't fit what Cleveland would want
