Red Sox need to open up 2 spots on the 40 man roster. SP’s Gonzalez & Mata are the two and the A’s also get 31yr old SP Michael Fullmer who is eligible for the rule 5 draft, the Athletics get him and add him to their 40 man along with Gonzalez & Mata and get 3 potential active roster pitchers for Simpson.

Mata and Isaiah Campbell DFA'd to set the 40 man right.
I think it was an easy decision, maybe Campbell comes back, he actually went up in value during this last update, go figure
