2Hey Benjo, NOVEMBER 19: Rule 5 protection deadline. Teams must add players who would otherwise be eligible for the Rule 5 draft to their 40-man roster by this date to keep them out of the draft. Maybe there will be some activity on the trade market soon. Who’s on your teams bubble list that might get moved in the next 7 days? Got any “keep an eye on this guy” you’d like to share?
Teams don't have to add somebody to the 40-man roster who is on the DL, and the Cubs have a few, i.e., Alzolay, Almonte, etc. When they come off, that's when heads will fall. I think they cut Wisdom and Madrigal for sure. Not sure if they have any value. Tauchman could go either way. The two most valuable Cubs on the bubble are Brennen Davis and Caleb Killian, imo. Davis cannot keep from getting hurt and Killian hasn't produced at the highest level. Both players have tremendous potential.
