3Inspired by today's BTV article! Milwaukee isn't actually sending a prospect to Washington, they're sending $2 MM in 2026 to cover half the buy-out. They are sending Gasser, Henderson, and Hoskins to the A's. Gasser is going to spend 2025 on the 60 day IL as he recovers from June TJS. Henderson overcame an early season oblique injury to show a good command of a solid fastball/change-up combination. The A's flip Hoskins and $12 MM ($10 MM in '25, $2 MM in '26) to the Nationals for a PTBNL. Washington is on record as saying they want to add a middle-order type bat or two to their line-up; this is a low risk way of doing that.
The flip to Washington here is inventive. I like it.
Thank you.
