Baltimore needs a backend bullpen and possible closer. Doval had an off year in 24 but was one of the top closers in the game in 23 and is still young. Bradfield is expendable in a deep Orioles farm system and the Giants need to rebuild their farm with upside athleticism, Baltimore is ready to win now and the Giants are not. Trade serves both teams well.
