2I don’t follow the logic of this trade. Rays have a good and deep pen, which Bednar would arguably make worse. Trading Yandy would be driven at least in part by a desire to cut payroll, but Bednar would reduce those savings by 30%. Also, the Rays should have zero problem finding a trade partner for Yandy, so why leave so much trade value on the table? Harrington’s a good prospect, but I doubt the Rays are looking to trade Yandy for him straight up.
Yea, I was thinking straight up at first, maybe values are closer come February, I decided to add in Bednar thinking it could be a fix and flip…it’s a definitely a bit of a reach.
