Rays are gonna trade Yandy in the offseason. This trade has them trading him to the Angels in return for a big bat 2B in the form of Moore. Angels install Yandy at 1B/DH for the next 2 years at less than half what P.Alonso will make for similar production. Rays are punting on the 25 season but plan to rebound in 2026 with Moore joining fellow Rays’ AA mates - C.Williams, X.Isaac, B.Taylor, T.Morgan, C. Simpson and D.Keegan - to open the next window for the Rays.

Angels aren't going to cut bait on Moore *and* Schanuel for a year and an option of a stone glove 1b/DH in his mid-30s whose SLG fell to .414 last year. Schanuel only hit one fewer HR than Yandy last year, in his age 22 season. And the Angels aren't going to contend until '27 anyhow.
