Cubs release Tauchman who has played pretty well. Make him the team mascot. Thomas (Illinois native) becomes the new Mickey Moniak. Hits .300 on great BABIP one year then slinks back into obscurity. Cruz instantly becomes Ozzie Smith the second Cubs trade him.
