This trade isn't what it appears to be. The Simulator only allows one team to send Cash in a Trade but I wanted the A's to help pay down Benintendi's contract (they don't actually send Morales to LA). The A's and the White Sox kick in $15 MM each at $5 MM annual. Luis Robert goes to the A's as compensation for the cash assist while the White Sox get the prospect bounty for Crochet. The Dodgers get Crochet at a discounted prospect cost by flexing their payroll. The A's are "paying" $20 MM for Roberts in 2025 with a $25 MM/$7 MM team option/buy-out for 2026. The White Sox get Benintendi off the books (saving $34 MM total) and add a trio of players that can contribute in 2025.
