Looks like a big overpay for Cleveland here, unless other pieces are involved. Seems like a lot to pay for a short-side platoon bat that isn't cheap in salary terms and has only 1.4 years of control left. Clemmey has helium, and Ramirez is no slouch either.

Been clamoring for my Pads to go after Thomas since early last year. Perhaps other teams were involved that drove the price up. He's solid though.
I don't think this is a smart move by Cleveland... Gotta give that FO the benefit of the doubt but this package for a platoon bat, eh... I don't think it was smart overpay... Hopefully I am wrong...
They’ve got him for the rest of this year and next year, they know his splits and must have figured a way to make it work, if it does I think it’s a fantastic trade for both clubs, I think Tena had some helium at one point but it’s seems to be gone and Clemmey and Ramirez are several years away and they probably fit into the Nationals plans nicely. I think it’s two 👍👍, but don’t stop, go get an SP…
Tena has been leading all of his AAA league in average since a month in the season I believe... The dude can hit... His range on defense is solid as well... Just makes to many errors...
Decent trade for Cleveland. Thomas offers solid platoon vs LHP, speed on bases and (Cleveland)average against RHP. He makes the shuffling of players and lineup stronger IMO. Value the 'prospects' somewhat irrelevant as most are over-hyped and over valued. Thomas has some value in 2024, 2025. Hard today who goes to Columbus...

Funny how everyone on this website had clemmey as untouchable and said cleveland would hang the phone up for any trade involving equal value for him. all these expert couch gms.....

As a Guardian fan I like Thomas, but cant believe they gave up 3 prospects, When I first heard it was Clemmey I figured that was it.
