3Note: We originally had Dominguez's value lower because his 2025 team option for $8M was coded as fixed. Because it projects to be underwater, it should have shown just the $0.5M buyout. That scenario is reflected here.
Hays is definitely an upgrade from Pache with the bat. I’m reading this as a Hays for Dominguez deal with Pache as a sweetener. He’s Out of options and Hays is taking the spot on the bench. Definitely the first of several moves for the Phillies.
All those years toiling away in Baltimore only to have them ship you out when you’re so, so very close to accomplishing the ultimate goal…..so cruel, at least they traded him to a contender
