1It's a Moderate Overpay but all the reporting says the A's need to be blown away to move Miller.... Oakland has a thing for Catchers with strong arms and that might be able to hit a bit. Questions about blocking/framing ability are far lee consequential. I don't think Coby Mayo sticks at 3B, certainly not at the level of defensive expectations the A's have had under the Beane/Forst tenure. And since the A's just spent the #4 pick on a clear 1B prospect the only other spot possible for Mayo is an OF corner (which he hasn't\played as a pro) or DH. Asking for McDermott might be a bit greedy. De Leon, not so much.
