3I like this trade for the Rays. Potentially fills 3 spots on the Rays 2025/26 roster, with Vargas replacing Aroz in LF, Ryan joining the rotation (or being the 6th man) and Rushing obviously becoming the backup catcher (initially).
I've got to say, if I were a Rays fan instead of a Dodgers fan, I'd pick this deal of the two I posted. Rushing can also DH and play 1B. Vargas is going to be good some day if he would ever get to play for a team that would just let him play for a few months instead of jerking him around all over the place. And Ryan has really good stuff. Only problem is I'm not sure Andrew Friedman can afford to trade any pitching right now. Our starters are dropping like flies and Ryan may join the big club after the All Star game.
Yep. Dodgers gotta decide how "all in" they want to be this year. I could see them trading for the Rays' Eflin or Littell too.
