I'm giving them a shortstop, just not the same quality and they're also getting a pretty good lefty starter and a guy in Rushing who is rated right around where Wilson is in the Top 100. I'm trying to win a World Series here in LA and you aren't cooperating. :)
I guess not. But the A's don't really need a Catcher and Trey Sweeney sucks.
Rushing can also DH and play 1B.
Sure, but the A's are looking for long term answers at 3B and depending on the day... CF. That's with Jacob Wilson penciled in at SS. They're going to give Soderstrom play at 1B and Rooker is under team control for 3 more years; Rushing is nice but he's not a Need.
I expect Rooker to be traded this month but I see the logic in your comments. Are you an A's fan specifically or just knowledgeable about their system? If you were the A's GM is there any Dodger player or group of players you would consider trading Wilson for?
I'm an A's fan and I just watched them strike out 13 times vs. the Orioles. They have the 2nd most strike outs in baseball and they need a long term SS. Only the grossest of overpays would get me to move Jacob Wilson... And I'm not so sure Rooker gets traded this month.
I'll defer to your expertise since you're an actual A's fan. I'm very thankful that I don't have to put up with an owner like Fisher. You have my sympathies.
