8Is Robinson even with the Brewers? (Mets)? If not, the Guardians get a PTBNL from the Brewers.
How does this make sense for the Guardians to trade 40% of their starting rotation when they already have another 40% of their planned rotation injured (Bieber & Williams)? Trying to be nice, but you do not have much understanding of the Cleveland Guardians, where they are, what they have, and what they need. Where do the Guardians get the rotation replacements?
Brewers say no thanks. McKenzie is a ticking time bomb. He missed significant time in 2018-2019 with injuries. He missed most of last year with elbow and arm problems. He is currently pitching with a torn ligament in his elbow and his results aren't great. I can't see Cleveland letting Allen go given the state of their SP.
Trade Triston McKenzie while you can………….if you can
I think your concern over McKenzie has merit but temporary account has a point... Cleveland can't include Logan Allen in a deal that doesn't bring an MLB SP back.
Exactly, Grover. Cleveland is already using Carlos Carrasco and Ben Lively to replace Bieber and Williams. it would make sense for Cleveland to add more starting pitching. It makes no sense to trade any away.
Well... I lean towards Ms. Dajuba's argument that Cleveland ought to shop McKenzie while they can. If you can find a sucker willing to part with a bat and a MLB ready-ish arm... And they should send the Comp A to Oakland for Blackburn!
I don't have any issues with the McKenzie part, but I doubt that they would get much right now due to the risk. Cleveland is not going to trade their comp A pick. They will want to have the most opportunities available to them since they have the first overall pick.
