5If the Dodgers bit on Clase would the Guardians have interest in Mason Miller?
Hurt isn't going anywhere. Swap him with Pages, and you got a deal.
Cleveland doesn't need fringy OFers, they need SP and the Dodgers need a closer. If they don't line up then that is fine. They'll get what they want or Clase will just remain a Guardian.
Cleveland's BP is loaded and they still have a few arms like Aleman and Walters coming soon. Having said that, Miller is the type of arm you take a gamble on, but I'm not sure who he would replace on the roster.
Even if Aleman and Walters arrive in 2024, they aren't going to be closing for a contender. Miller replaces Clase and one of Ryan/De Paula ends up with the A's.
