2I wouldn't do this trade from the Braves' side. Fuentes is still an international teenage pitcher and MiLB has recorded just 70 innings pitched and those at "Rookie Ball" and "Single A". I'm skeptical about the accuracy of this site's assigned vale for him. The Braves saw something special in him, why part with him now, for a 1st round Comp Balance pick? And include two other players, Vines and Franklin? I don't see any logical sense in this trade proposal. What's your angle?
Didier Fuentes is like Andrew Hoffmann in this trade. Young pitcher with some exciting tools to work with. Darius Vines gets an opportunity to start in the back end of an MLB Rotation and eat innings. He’s only 25 and there’s some untapped potential there. Lastly, Jesse Franklin has an intriguing power profile and is a better prospect than CJ Alexander and could find himself an opportunity to get PAs with the Royals. The 2024 draft has a lot of college pitching available and I think the Braves might be interested in trading for a Comp Pick. This is could be a Drew Waters 2.0 package.
