Interesting trade idea. Accented variance with all the players involved as well as Orlando Arcia. I'm skeptical that the Tigers are parting with Báez, they signed him for so much money and I don't see them parting with Skubal either. He's their Opening Day guy now and did so well coming back last season.

Braves will need a ss in the near future and could use one now with Arcia moving to util role. Baez is MASSIVELY overpaid and is only likely to continue to decline so ANY team taking him will need something back to grease the deal. The Braves players going in the deal are primarily designed to make the short term money work with Fletcher being the Tigers bridge/util until others are ready and Ozuna being a one and done DH for them. Ynoa has promise but is coming off injury. Bottom line, the Tigers would have to want to shed the long term financial obligation to Baez for this to go anywhere. But it would sting to make it happen.
