I don't think this trade would actually happen. But I was looking at the Rockies prospects, and their #1 (Amador) is an SS who is moving to 2B due to Tovar. I was thinking I would still have him play some SS as the Rockies don't really have a great backup SS option, and you never know about a trade. That got me thinking more...Miami needs an SS, some OF/DH bats, and has a ton of pitching. The Rockies need pitching, have a ton of OF/DH, and have some good middle infield prospects. If Miami calls Colorado and says "What would you want for Tovar?", the answer is Perez. That probably ends the call, but what if it doesn't? This trade actually meets the needs of both teams but I don't see it happening. It was an interesting exercise though.
