4No way Rays do this, they already have Fairbanks at closer signed to a good deal plus TB doesn't pay for relievers, like Stephenson and Kelly last year they just find guys needing an adjustment and somehow they turn into a reliable pitcher,
Cleveland would say no as well since they would want like 60 value for Clase to even think about moving him...
This could be the Rays' fan in me talking, but I cannot see Cleveland getting that much of a return for a reliever in the offseason. Maybe at the deadline when a desperate team is trying to fill the one remaining hole on an otherwise championship roster (e.g., A.Chapman trade to the Cubs), but otherwise I can't see it. $60MM in value is an insane ask for any reliever, even one as good as Clase.
Cleveland is notorious for being bullish on guys they don't have to trade but every team would take. They never drop their price and if someone meets it, then they make a deal. Clase they are being very bullish on and I doubt they will trade him since spring started cause they have a chance to win the division... If they are out, then they will listen to Bieber and Clase again...
