Cleveland at least has to think about this one, that's for sure. I think the Cubs though would take a pitcher over Rodriguez, but the idea makes sense!

Is the reduction to Davis's value in the last couple days due to the lack of available ABs and therefore is WAR projection goes down or due to the fact that he will probably get moved therefore the resources required to acquire him is less?

I'd ask johnbitzer on your other page... And I think he's way to low personally to be sincere since he has always had a solid bat...

It's due to leverage, which is a factor in our model. The entire league now knows Davis has nowhere to play, and will likely be traded. It's also a sign that the SF front office doesn't value him as highly, since they just invested in his replacement.

Chapman or JD Davis... Its no contest, but Davis actually isn't that bad of a player...

Anyone bothered to compare Canario to Rodriguez? Cleveland is not making that deal let alone shipping Bieber out for Whitman. The entire idea would be absurd from Cleveland's perspective.
