Cleveland is not trading Espino. Cleveland has no need for Yorke. Cleveland also is not going to trade their comp pick.

Jerielp57

yeah they need to make the comp picks have more value especially Round A that's basically a first round pick and a chance at a really good prospect

Actually from the way Antonetti talked about in his interview today... Cleveland isn't going to make the Comp pick available period... It sounds like they plan on maxing out their budget in the draft... Though you aren't wrong with the Comp pick needing to be worth more.

Cleveland would say no, Espino isn't going to be available outside of a deal for an All-Star RH RF with years of control...

Jerielp57

i mean but would a team trade an All star RH RF with years of control for a dude who hasnt pitched in like 2 years. Espino has ace stuff but at some point the injuries have to worry Cleveland

They refused to trade him in the past and they aren't going to trade him when his value is so low... They are going to ride out the Espino roller coaster for now and see if he rebounds. He's not going anywhere outside of a major overpay.and like you said, since he hasn't pitched no one is going to give that over pay...

BigBat

Yeah, Espino isn't going to be available and if he were it would not be at his lowest value to date. I do like Abreu though, even if he'd be a bit redundant in Cleveland at this time. They have Kwan, Brennan, Florial, DeLauter and Valera either in Cleveland or Columbus. Another LHH OFer would need to be a seriously impactful one and I'm not so sure Abreu is that. Actually, he and Brennan are very similar.

Why would anyone give a downvote to my reply unless they were a petulant little child? Nothing was said that wasn't blatantly obvious and nothing was derogatory at all.
