Rays get Bart for their platoon type catcher before he gets DFA'ed (likelihood) and a young arm who is interesting. Giants get a potential starter/bulk /long relief pitcher as their rotation is very thin of arms (as is their inexperienced pen). Only adds 2 million to the payroll allowing other moves. They also get Seymour who is came back from TJ last year and if healthy could help in the rotation or pen in another year.

I guess this works for the Rays. I'd hate to lose Armstrong though.

I also don't think that Bart moves the needle at all but he seems to be their for the taking. Rays lost their opportunity when they could have signed Sanchez for the same 3 million PLUS incentives (that he renegotiated) than spending it on Maton and Rosario, IMO.

The Maton signing is confusing. I can’t explain it, except to assume a trade is coming.
