Soooo 3/5 of the starting rotation and the allstar LF for a guy signed to a huge contract that you can't trust him not to do something stupid, I think the Rays learned their lesson with the Wander deal about paying guys big money that aren't reliable.

I'm assuming this trade was meant as a joke, but if not, it's not realistic for a couple reasons - (1) It involves cherry picking Rays players with not so high trade values (ie: best bang for buck). Any real trade would have to include one or both of Diaz and Paredes (ie: the $60MM trade value guys). (2) Too many Rays pitchers are in this deal. Rays aren't trading for Tatis only to be noncompetitive because of a lack of pitching, (3) CC is partially right. Rays won't be interested in another big money long term contract until they sort through Franco's contract, which will take years. That last point means there will be no Tatis trade to the Rays this year (for sure).
