3I understand this might be a bad idea due to devers contract and possible no trade clause but I was just trying to think about getting a third baseman for the mariners
I’m an M’s fan and i like Devers but for that contract, i’d rather see ownership just pony up and sign Chapman. You can keep Woo and possibly see if you can get any for Urias or rojas at the deadline. Musings aside, imo the M’s are not going to add any significant payroll right now. If they take on anymore salary, it will only be at the trade deadline and probably only if they have a solid shot at the division.
Can’t see Boston trading away Devers after just extending him. They would need a significant overpay to be persuaded.
