This Guardians fan would prefer Ben Brown over Javier Assad.. Otherwise, this is a very fair deal.. It's fair as stated, as well..
As a Cleveland fan I’m just not sold on Morel. I know he provides what Cleveland needs (HRs), but his 30%+ K rate is a red flag, he’s hit better at Wrigley than on the road, and he isn’t great against LHP (a Cleveland weakness). Clase fits with the Cubs, but I don’t see a good fit for Cleveland, unless they want to send them Horton and Shaw, and that’s unlikely to happen.
Horton is going nowhere period , really don’t need Clase , Alzolay&Neris will do fine need Morel more.
Cleveland is going IF you give me A, B,C and D of course you can have Clase... I feel like A and B from the Cubs is Morel and Horton... They also never lower prices, so I don't expect him to be traded...
That's a reasonable assumption JR, but you have to understand that Clase is worth a lot. My problem with this offer is that Cleveland does not need nor will they be interested in both Morel and Alcantara. Morel has his warts and is no sure thing, but I think his value here is fair. This package wouldn't touch Luzardo. To get him you'll have to start with Horton and go from there.

Even making that swap, I doubt this is enough to get Clase from Cleveland... I really do feel like their price is Morel plus Horton and 2 more prospects...

Cleveland said they are willing to listen to offers on Clase, but it doesn't mean he's going to be traded for a penny less than way too much... This is definitely less than Cleveland wants...
