4DET gets vet upgrade at 1y/ CF / 1y/SS andadds 11.5m aav for 2024. LAD saves 11.5m / after CBT 23m in 2024 p/r.
If LAD cut this much P/R they could sign Amed Rosario who is better RHB / more versatile than Rojas and able SS. I have my doubts about Lux.
Rosario is a *significant* downgrade from Rojas defensively. I don't see the Dodgers being interested in a reunion. They can absorb Rojas being in the lineup as their #9 hitter if Lux doesn't work out — the rest of the lineup is strong enough to carry him.
I don't think the Dodgers move Rojas — he's their insurance in case Lux can't handle SS. It also seems like they're optimistic about Margot contributing in a platoon with Heyward and backing up CF (on occasions that Outman is rested). If the Dodgers were looking to save money, they'd probably attempt to trade Chris Taylor instead.
