Mariners wouldn’t even consider this. Mountcastle is redundant to France. Hall is pretty much guaranteed to end in the bullpen and the M’s don’t value bullpen arms. Westburg would be nice for this year, but if he was still a prospect would probably be rated 3rd or 4th in our middle infield group, so would be expected to be phased out within the next few years. Any trade for Gilbert would need to start with Colby Mayo and even then would be very difficult to envision (maybe Mayo + Hjerstad + Bradfield + Povich would be enough)

Westburg was a top 30 prospect in baseball before he graduated. Higher than any Mariners prospect. He's a great young player with 6 years of control. The Mariners need bats in the worst way. Mountcastle is a really good bat and plays phenomenal defense at 1st. He also has 3 more years of control. The Mariners have been great at developing pitching, so I assume they'd be very interested in adding a guy like DL Hall. He has tremendous stuff, just hasn't been able to get his pitch mix right. I think the M's could turn him into a really good #3 or #4 type starter. Kjerstad, Bradfield or Povich could certainly be involved, but I doubt any GM would even trade Mayo straight up for Gilbert. You don't trade position players with that kind of talent for a pitcher. One helps the team every day. The other once a week for 5-7 innings. Makes no sense.

Xfactor

Kind of agree w/ both sides here. Running down westburg and mounty is ignorant and if the mariners don’t value relievers I’m sure plenty of teams will gladly offer 5 cents on the dollar for brash and Munoz. Having said that, mayo isn’t going anywhere…and this offer is NOT enough for Gilbert. Westburg + kjerstad + povich? Ms keep Hancock. Just spitballing

Good thing the O's didn't do this. They got Burnes for much less and Westburg is a beast.
