Down vote for Oakland. Rooker was a very streaky hitter in 2023. He's not a good outfield defender; the arm is fine but the range is poor. It's fair to question how well he'll do in the encore. He's also one of five players to hit 30 HR in the Show last year and will make league minimum in 2024, so the A's are going to need some incentive to move him. Dollard had shoulder surgery. When healthy, he's a Command over Stuff, back of the rotation arm. Cole Phillips is still recovering from TJS and was supposed to be pitching by the end of 2023 but that didn't happen. Zack DeLoach might end up a younger, cheaper Seth Brown. I think A's GM Dave Forst is horrible at his job so I won't object to him getting 60 cents on the dollar in this deal... but I don't think he's so bad as to trade one of five players to hit 30 HR and is set to make league minimum in 2024 for two injured pitchers and a duplicate of what he already has on the A's roster.
