5The idea of trading Clase was to add offense to the MLB club. I want at least two MLB ready bats. Pages strikes out way too much for my liking.
The way I see it, we can complain about Ks or lack of power, we can't be too ticky tacky in trying to thread the needle. I'd also rather see the Guards get more young players than swing big for someone like Outman (who also has K issues).
My point is that the reported idea of trading Clase is to add MLB ready offense. Where is that here? Pages is not ready with all the strike outs and only three AAA at bats in his career. I expect at least two MLB ready bats and an MLB ready pitcher in any Bieber/Clase trade.
When was the last time you saw a trade package like that? And who would that even be? Outman, Busch, and Frasso?
When is the last time a two time all star stud closer with 5 years of control on an excellent contract is available?
