The Brewers turn down this terribly undervalued trade in a split second. The pitching returning to Milwaukee is so weak the Brewers wouldn't even consider this. Johnson doesn't even have 20 IPs in the minors. Povich hasn't done himself any good with his control problems. Armbruester looks to have a ceiling as a #4-5. Brewers certainly don't want a teenage catcher as the highest value guy in a trade like this.

Basallo is now top 20 from MLB Pipeline. So this deal would have been even better now. But with Hoskins in Milwaukee now and Yelich likely headed to DH, I'm not sure it works well anymore.

If you look at it deeper, Milwaukee has a surplus of OF and Burnes isn't going to re-sign with them. So you move Wiemer and Burnes for a starting 1B and cleanup hitter, the #46 prospect in the top 100 (who is a C/1B), and 3 arms. Payamps is a guy you could pull out, but Baltimore needs arms in the bullpen with Bautista being out all year so they make the ask here.
