Dominguez is injured and expected to miss half of the 2024 season.

I'd agree to it SB. TA is right that Dominguez is injured and won't be back until mid season, but he's worth the wait IMO.

For sure. Yankees are now overcrowded in the OF with actual MLB talent compared to a quadruple-A type logjam that the Guardians have, but severely lacking defense outside of Grisham. Brennan provides them a defensive asset with a decent bat who can be stashed in AAA or platooned with the rest, and lots of team control. Bieber immediate front-to-mid rotation impact, and Martinez could usurp an aging D.J. Lemahieu or platoon with their golden child Anthony Volpe. Guardians can slip Curry or Gaddis into the rotation until Espino/Cantillo/Burns prove healthy or ready. Dominguez can crack into the 2025 Opening Day roster with ease alongside any number of Delauter/Rodriguez/Manzardo/Valera. I don't think the 2024 Guardians are poised to compete given the questionable payroll status, McKenzie's injury risk, and sophomore slumps from Bibee/Williams/Allen on top of an offense that hasn't really improved for 2024 and a revolving door of SS prospects in Arias/Rocchio/Tena/Brito. Guardians will have to make some very difficult choices coming up but they are poised to have the best prospect trade bait in baseball for the next year or two.
