2Just fooling around to see if I could get anthing to match up for the M’s to land Lowe from the Rays. I was trying to match up areas of need for the Rays but the M’s don’t really have any catcher depth. If I were the Rays, I wouldn’t do this trade but I’m curious what others think since Lowe had an injury plagued season in 2022..
I can’t see the Rays trading B.Lowe this offseason. B.Lowe’s trade value is in the crapper because of the uncertainty around his back, but he is a cost controlled 4+ fWAR player when healthy. Rays would rather roll the dice he recovers (or write him off if he doesn’t) because they can’t replace him on their budget.
