2The Brewers don't want another outfielder in Verdugo. With the crazy numbers being throw around for starters, Milwaukee has little chance of re-signing Pivetta. As of now, the Brewers are trying to extend Adames. If they can't do that, this has some chance with Verdugo being swapped out.

I guess my assumption was that this would be accompanied by a trade of Burnes and an outfielder or two in separate trades. Considered Pivetta a bit of a stop gap for this season.
