This would have Shuster thrown in it. Vodnik, Burkhalter, Maier & Hernandez are Bullpen Arms. Albeit, Dylan Dodd could be a Good Long Reliever or MRP if he doesn't make it as a SP. Grissom is a top of the scale Hitter that has hit well at every league. He is good enough of an athlete to switch positions if a team wants him to do so. Many have given up on him as a SS, mainly because of his arm. He is just 22 & can easily add a little velocity to his arm. Swapping out Grissom for Owen Murphy, Vines & SS/Utility Braeden Shewmake is do-able. This is a lot of players with abundant Service Time for 2 Rentals.

I am very sure that if the Padres trade away Blake Snell and Josh Hader that they will be getting back more concentrated value as well as more overall value, even with Jared Shuster being added to this posted trade proposal. I'm thinking something more like AJ Smith-Shawver maybe starts a conversation for them. Vaughn Grissom's a good hitter. He's not a "top of the scale" sort for me but he is years younger than most every AAA hitter that I like better than him and that's what makes Grissom stand out for me. I just don't see him as a fit for SD. I think your trade proposal's gone a bit too far unhinged if it'd be 9 minor leaguers coming back in this trade. I wouldn't be surprised if Blake Snell's gets a significant number of Cy Young votes this year. Hader has't been as good as he was a couple of years ago, but there's a whole lot of teams that would love to have him wearing their jersey in the postseason.

At 21, Vaughn Grissom hit .291 with a .792 OPS in 153 MLB Plate Appearances. There aren't many MLB Prospects that have a Strong MLB Track Record. Especially at 21/22. His Power tool is probably average to below average at this point in his career but his hit tool is very high. If it wasn't for Arcia breaking out into the National League All Star Game Starter at SS, Vaughn would probably be the Braves Starter at SS right now. This trade probably is far fetched tho. The Braves likely can't afford to gain both Snell & Hader without throwing in AJ Smith Shawver. I personally wouldn't give up AJ Smith Shawver for either of them. They're only rentals & Shawver could be an Ace in a few years. I also would be very hesitant to give up Vaughn Grissom for either of them individually. He is worth more than they are. He has a lot of cheap service time ahead of him & will be a very productive player. If he improves defensively he could even wind up at SS in which case his value would skyrocket past them.
