This makes no sense for Milwaukee. The very last thing they want is outfielders, and here they get two. The Brewers want pitching when they trade Burnes.

Trey Cabbage is also a 1B/DH, however. This site puts him as an OF but in AAA this season he played 58 G as 1B, 4G in RF, 4G in CF, and 17 G in RF. He also played in 27G as DH.

Spikes

Hmm, did not know that. Thanks for the info. I like the trade even better for the Brewers, but I don't think the Angels would make this deal.

Spikes

I think the Brewers would make this trade. Assuming Ward is healthy and passes his physical, both him and Drury would be starters. In a full season both would be expected to add 20+ homers each which is needed in the Brewer lineup. I agree with Jmont1 that Cabbage is not needed. Throw out the Cabbage and add a prospect pitcher. Milwaukee would have to add additional pitching from another trade or free agency. Although I don't think the Brewers are going to trade Burnes in the off season, these two players would be difficult to turn down. This is a good return for an expensive pitcher you are only going to have for one year. However, I don't think the Angels would make this trade.
