4This proposal does not have the top pitching prospect that the Pirates reportedly wants. The Yankees don't have that pitcher. It will likely take a third team to help the Yankees.
Then New York does not get Reynolds. Pittsburgh does not have to trade him now.
They kinda sorta do, now that the situation is seems to be getting out of hand. If NYY doesn't really have a thing for him (as has been reported), then I expect that either Texas or Miami to make a deal using their pitching surplus plus adding a good outfield prospect.
Think this is the best they will get. 3-way with NYY is too hard to work. Best bet would be Marlins.
