1There's pain in this for all teams. Twins fans are going to hate letting go of Arraez, the Red Sox could be selling low on Sale and don't want to give up Rafaela, and the Marlins probably want to hold out for more for Lopez. On the other hand, there is gain for everyone, too. The Twins get their stopgap SS and a potential ace, although they'd be gambling on Sale's health and age. The Red Sox get 2B help and a reasonable replacement for Sale. Maeda can be of use in the rotation or in the 'pen, but as with Sale, his health is a question mark. The Marlins' lineup improves with AL batting champ Arraez, but please note, he is primarily a 1B, not a 2B. He played 529 innings at 1B and somehow even entered the GG discussion at the position. He can play 2B or, in a pinch, 3B. He can DH. The Marlins also get one of the prizes of the Red Sox's farm. Since I don't regularly converse with Kim Ng, Derek Falvey, or Chaim Bloom, I have no idea how they value any of these players, but I do see the potential for overall improvement for all three clubs.
