2Well thought out trade proposal for all sides. Like the McLain for Beaver swap. Reds need option for their RF Future.
Mateo seems without a role in BAL, while ATL needs a new SS with Dansby gone. If Grissom is able to show he can play SS, Mateo can shift into a utility role, being an upgrade over Hilliard. McLain gives them a more depth in the infield with some ceiling. The Orioles deal from their OF depth for a high-risk high reward starter. Anderson gets a change of scenery and a route to a starting role in BAL. The Reds have been said to want to swap their infield prospects for outfield prospects, and here they get just that. They could also go for Hjerstad after his AFL MVP showing, but Beavers has a better chance of playing CF, and is younger with more team control. McLain has been pushed done the depth with the breakouts/acquisitions of Elly, Marte, Arroyo, Encarnacion-Strand, Collier, and Steer.
