There is no chance the Rays are trading their best pitcher (arguably) plus a break out 3B with 5 years of control and a top SS prospect for a catching prospect who is still 3 years away. This is the kind of trade that never happens in the real world. Teams don't trade multiple productive Major League players for 1 far off prospect. Never ever ever....

The Dodgers get rid of a prospect they didn't really need for a upper-echelon SP, a good young 3B who can develop behind Max Muncy for the time being, and a quite good lottery ticket in Colmenarez who could blossom into a great shortstop. In return, the Rays get a top tier catcher prospect who can sit for a year and learn, while also having top-tier potential. They get rid of a blocked prospect in Colmenarez, a fairly good 3B who can be easily replaced, and a starting pitcher with just 2 years left on his contract.
