1Just thinking out loud since the sale of the Halos isn't happening and it seems unlikely that Ohtani will resign. Would the Halos get a marquee player back (with only 2 years of control) but someone they could still partner with Trout to try and stay relevant? Would the Padres get Ohtani a year before FA and try to sign him to an extension? I could also see it being a 1-1 if Preller got a negotiation window to try and extend Ohtani. It would be an overpay from the algorithm, but Preller would get his guy.
