Contract swaps. Alejo Lopez just got DFA'd by the Reds. Everybody gets a pitcher and a hitter at or near MLB level. Tbh, I really don't think Votto is ever going anywhere, but the Diamondbacks would be a good landing spot if he did.

For the first half of last season I've wanted to see the Braves and Diamondbacks swap those two bad contracts. I'm not into that any more though. For the Braves starting rotation, I'm sticking with Max Fried and Spencer Strider as a "one, two punch". Charlier Morton's got a spot and Kyle Wright's 2022 earned him a spot in my eyes. Adding MadBum locks out Michael Soroka and I think that's a mistake. In a vacuum, I feel like Ozuna can help more in 2023. Figuring out his AB's is going to take creativity from the Braves, but it's more realistic than having 6 starters. Lastly, Ozuna's owed $32MM and Bumgarner is $37MM. I'd rather the lesser here and the difference has some significance as the Braves are up there in payroll.

Votto says NO. Has a full No TRADE clause. Might accept a trade to competitor, but not the Dacks.
