1As a Braves fan, I would be sad to see this trade happen. Patrick Corbin's owed $27MM more than Ozuna over these next two seasons. In 2023, I have confidence with Morton, Fried, Wright, Strider and an appreciation for some flexibility back and forth from AAA Gwinnett. Or maybe it's Shuster. Or Allard or Soroka or Anderson gets right. Patrick Corbin's just too much $ for me. While he has a durable pitcher and wouldn't be a bad back of the rotation guy for ATL, it's again, too much $ for that. If it's to be a balanced trade with Cavalli in there, his value's gonna be lower now because he's injured and time missed. The Braves aren't so interested in that now. He might be on a path similar to Max Fried and if so, it's best for the Nationals to be patient. I'm curious to learn what's the impetus of this proposal.
