3Given the market for starting pitching, it is not inconceivable the the Tigers might get a better offer, but the market rules. In any case, the Phillies would still have Painter and Abel. And Escobar would be potential insurance if Nola decides to join his friend Eflin in Tanp, or moved closer to his Louisiana home.
Eduardo Rodriguez could miss multiple months due to the ruptured pulley in his left index finger.
My very bad; I hadn't checked on injuries. Thanks. But if he takes advantage of the opt-out, grabbing him would be a pretty good idea. (And if he recovers by the Deadline, I get to be smart again.)
