The Braves are my favorite team. I probably have checked out 75% of all the trades posted on this site that involve the Braves. I find the vast majority of them to be junk. This one, however, is one of the best that I've seen in a while involving the team. This trade wouldn't be one of my top 10 picks for what I think would be reasonable trades, but it's realistic in my eyes. The Braves would be on the hook for a chunk of money. Maybe a trade like this means that Charlie Morton's 2024 option won't be picked up. If team's playoff bound and neither Fried or Wright are coming back in 2023 then I'm into it. I'd rather see them trade for just Alex Cobb though, under those same circumstances. Graveman's an expensive addition for the Braves. The bullpen for the White Sox, as a group, is expensive. And they're one of the worst in the Majors. Kendall Graveman is a big part of that. Relievers, more than any other are the type of player that I'm most heavy on "what have you done for me lately". I'm just not into trading for him. I'd rather see the Braves get Craig Kimbrel. I do like this trade. It's popular among the visitors of this site. I believe that both of these teams probably should make a move like this. Over the next six weeks or so, I'll be watching how each of the players involved perform on the field. dukefan33, thanks for sharing this interesting trade proposal.
