1The risk to acquiring Ohtani is that you're giving up MULTIPLE elite prospects with no guarantee of re-signing him this winter. Adding Patrick Sandoval obviously ups the price quite a bit, but it also mitigates the risk by at least acquiring a guy like Sandoval to give you three more years of team control.
