This deal would be contingent on Rizzo being OK with a reunion as a part-time player. His job would be to mentor Mervis and other young Cubs while playing out the rest of his contract. The Yankees get salary relief. I would guess 6-8 million includeded in the deal without Bote, probably more like 4-6 with him added.
